May 11 & 25, June 8 & 22, July 6 & 20, August 10 &31
This week we will be drawing cherry blossoms with chalk pastels. The exercise is partly inspired by Van Gogh’s painting below. We will do two exercises: one will focus on the tree with branches and the other will be an all-over more abstract pattern of cherry blossoms.
Supplies: coloured pastel paper 12 x 17″ (2 sheets), set of chalk pastels, eraser, blending stump, soft rag, small watercolour brush (for blending)
Please note this is the last session for the month of April. There will be a few sessions throughout the summer on Wednesday mornings (due to popular demand) but not on a weekly basis.
